The 1880s Churchfield Buildings-once single family homes-offer apartments convenient to the Interstate, hospital and downtown businesses. In cooperation with the National Housing Development Corporation, Vandalia is renovating these five buildings to create affordable housing in Wheeling, a city that is renowned for its exceptional Victorian housing stock and ongoing efforts to preserve and restore historic neighborhoods. Twenty-three residential units will be preserved when the project is completed.
