This 1901 former company general store displays the best work of West Virginia artisans and crafters. The small-town storefront, complemented with innovative interior design, transformed an empty structure into a model retail showroom, artisan gallery, and warehouse/fulfillment center for Mountain Made. Through its web site, MountainMade.com,Visit MountainMade.com online now!  the Mountain Made Foundation markets its products all over the world. Visitors are also able to view these quality West Virginia made products from the idyllic rural location of the Mountain Made Gallery in the Buxton & Landstreet Building, thus returning this majestic historic structure to it original mercantile use.

Another innovative non-profit organization, the Canaan Valley Institute, is re-using the building's renovated upstairs as its offices. Vandalia acquired the Buxton & Landstreet Building in 1999 and completed its interior in 2000. Vandalia completed exterior improvements and site work with funding assistance from the U.S. Economic Development Administration in 2004.
