Vandalia Redevelopment Corporation

Laura Kurtz Kuhns, President/Chief Executive Officer of Vandalia Heritage Foundation and its sister organization Vandalia Redevelopment Corporation, has a long history of working in community and economic development in and for West Virginia.

Prior to her tenure at Vandalia, Ms. Kuhns served as Managing Director of a statewide commercial real estate firm.  While at the organization, Ms. Kuhns focused on downtown revitalization, development of office buildings in the region, and management of several consulting efforts. Her significant expertise in real estate and economic revitalization facilitated a number of key development endeavors.

Ms. Kuhns formerly served as a congressional aide in Washington, D.C., working on economic development initiatives for northern West Virginia.

Currently, Ms. Kuhns leads Vandalia’s efforts to revitalize communities and neighborhoods throughout northern West Virginia.  Such endeavors reach beyond Vandalia’s portfolio of over 50 historic preservation projects and programs throughout its region, into its commitment to the “unbuilt environment,” or the rich cultural heritage of North Central West Virginia.
